Painting the Town

Hamlet were recently accepted as a community group by Creative Hobart and Urban smART Projects Traffic Signal Box Program to paint the new signal box on the corner of Collins and Molle St.

Luke Morris, one of our amazing participants, helped facilitate an art class for Hamlet and incorporated portraits by and of other participants framed by a series of flowers in his colourful creation.

Luke’s favourite part of the creative process was the positive feedback and encouragement from passers-by as he worked on his masterpiece and brightened the street corner.

Luke completed a Fine Art degree earlier this year, has previously completed our Café Customer Service Training Program and is due to graduate shortly from our Kitchen Training Program.

Luke is actively looking for work in any of the three above areas and would be an asset to any team he joins!
